1. Who we are
Boqu Co., Ltd. (“Boqu Games”, “we”, “us”) publishes the social casino games Boqu Texas Hold’em Poker and Slots Palace (the “Games”) and operates this website. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Our games are social casino games only, for adults aged 18 and over; they do not offer real-money gambling.
If you have a question about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].
2. At a glance
- We collect what we need to run the Games, keep them fair and safe, support you, and understand how the Games are played.
- Boqu Texas Hold’em Poker does not ask for your email address, phone number, contacts or location, and does not currently read your device’s advertising identifier.
- Slots Palace offers sign-in with Facebook, WeChat or email, and works with partners for analytics, crash reports, notifications, install attribution and advertising, as described in section 4.
- We do not sell your personal data for money.
- Payments are handled by Apple or Google. We never receive your full card details.
- You can delete your account and data at any time: see Delete your account.
3. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: the username, display name and password you choose when you save or create an account (passwords are stored in protected, hashed form), and in Slots Palace, your email address if you register with email.
- Messages and reports: where a game offers chat, the messages you send, and the mutes and reports you make.
- Support requests: what you tell us when you contact us, including your email address and any screenshots or details you include.
Information collected when you play
- Identifiers: your account number, and identifiers created for your installation of a game and for each play session.
- Gameplay and virtual-item records: tables joined, hands and spins played, results, balances and transactions of virtual chips and coins, bonuses collected, levels and similar game records.
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system and version, app version, language, network connection type, and crash and performance information.
- Server logs and security data: your IP address, connection times, sign-in and authentication events, and data used to detect cheating, fraud and abuse. We may use your IP address to work out your approximate country or region; we do not collect precise location.
Information from others
- App stores: when you buy virtual items, Apple or Google tell us what was bought, when, the price and the transaction identifier, so we can deliver it and handle refunds. They do not share your payment card details with us.
- Sign-in providers (Slots Palace): if you sign in with Facebook or WeChat, we receive the information you allow the provider to share, such as your name, profile picture, a user identifier and, for Facebook, which of your friends also play.
- Advertising and attribution partners (Slots Palace): information about the advertisement or campaign that led to your install, and confirmation of rewarded advertisements you chose to watch.
4. Game by game
Boqu Texas Hold’em Poker
You can play as a guest without giving us any personal details, or save your account with a username and password. We collect the account, gameplay, device and server-log information above. To understand how the game is played, we send gameplay events (such as reaching the lobby, joining or leaving a table, and playing or winning a hand), together with a random installation identifier, session identifier, platform, operating system version, device model and app version, to our analytics provider, GameAnalytics. We never send the cards you hold or the cards on the board to analytics.
The current version does not show third-party advertising, does not read your device’s advertising identifier and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. If we add optional features such as rewarded advertising or push notifications, we will update this policy first and, where required, ask for your permission in the game (for example, through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt).
Slots Palace
You can play as a guest or sign in with Facebook, WeChat or an email address and password. Slots Palace uses the following service providers and partners:
| Partner | What it does | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Meta (Facebook) | Optional sign-in, inviting friends, sending gifts and sharing | Facebook user ID, name, profile picture, friends who play, app events |
| Tencent (WeChat) | Optional sign-in | WeChat user identifier, nickname, profile picture |
| GameAnalytics | Gameplay analytics | Game events, installation and session identifiers, device data |
| AppsFlyer | Measuring which campaigns lead to installs | Advertising identifier (where permitted), device data, IP address, install and in-app events |
| Chartboost | Rewarded and in-game advertising | Advertising identifier (where permitted), device data, IP address, ad interactions |
| Google (Firebase Crashlytics) | Crash reports | Crash logs, device data, installation identifier |
| OneSignal | Push notifications, if you allow them | Push token, device data, notification interactions |
| MaxMind | Approximate country lookup on our servers | IP address |
Slots Palace may show advertisements, including optional rewarded videos. Where your device setting allows it, Slots Palace and its partners may use your device’s advertising identifier for attribution and advertising; see section 8 for how to control this.
5. How we use it
- To run the Games: create and maintain your account, seat you at tables, run spins and hands, keep your virtual items and progress, and sync them across devices.
- To process purchases: deliver virtual items you buy, handle refunds and prevent fraudulent purchases.
- To keep play fair and safe: detect and prevent cheating, collusion, bots, multi-accounting and other abuse; moderate chat and names; investigate reports; and enforce our Terms and Community guidelines.
- To support you: answer your questions and fix problems.
- To understand and improve the Games: analyse how features are used, fix crashes and bugs, balance the game and develop new features.
- To communicate with you: send service messages and, if you allow them, notifications about the game.
- For marketing and advertising (Slots Palace): measure our campaigns and show advertisements, as described in section 8.
- To comply with law: meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, and respond to lawful requests.
6. Legal bases
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another place with similar laws, we rely on these legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Games, your account, purchases and support under our Terms.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the Games secure, fair and free of abuse, to analyse and improve them, and to measure marketing. We balance these interests against your rights, and you can object (see section 11).
- Consent: for push notifications, for using your advertising identifier where consent is required, and for any other processing where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: to keep records the law requires and to respond to lawful requests.
7. Who we share it with
- Service providers who process data for us under contract, such as hosting, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, customer support and security providers, including those listed in section 4.
- Platform providers: Apple, Google and, if you use them, Facebook and WeChat, under their own privacy policies.
- Advertising and attribution partners for Slots Palace, as described in sections 4 and 8.
- Other players: the information described in section 9.
- Legal and safety: authorities, courts or others where required by law, or where necessary to protect the safety of any person, to report child sexual exploitation, or to defend our rights.
- Business transfers: a buyer or successor if our business or a game is sold or reorganised, who must protect your data in line with this policy.
We do not sell your personal data for money.
8. Advertising and tracking
Boqu Texas Hold’em Poker does not currently use advertising identifiers or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Slots Palace and its advertising and attribution partners may use your device’s advertising identifier, where your settings allow, to measure installs and show advertisements. You are in control:
- iPhone and iPad: go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking and turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track”, or turn tracking off for Slots Palace. When tracking is off, the advertising identifier is not available to the app.
- Android: go to Settings › Privacy › Ads (or Settings › Google › Ads) and delete or reset your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalisation.
- Notifications: you can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
9. What other players see
Other players can see your display name, avatar, level and the actions you take at a table or in a game, including chip and coin amounts. Where a game has chat, they can see the messages you send. In Slots Palace, if you sign in with Facebook, friends who also play may see your name and profile picture. Please do not put personal information in your names or messages.
10. How long we keep it
- Account and gameplay data: for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, normally within 30 days.
- Anonymous game ledger: after deletion, an account number and its virtual-currency transactions are kept without your name or contact details, so game records stay consistent. A record that a deletion request was completed is kept for 30 days.
- Inactive guest accounts: may be deleted after a long period of inactivity.
- Chat and moderation records: messages, including removed ones, and reports are kept for as long as needed to moderate, handle appeals and protect players, and longer where they relate to serious harm or a legal obligation.
- Server and security logs: for a limited period, normally no more than 12 months, unless needed to investigate abuse.
- Purchase records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Support emails: for up to 3 years after your last message.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data (see Delete your account);
- receive your data in a portable format;
- object to or restrict certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the game and your username or player ID. We may need to verify that the account is yours before acting. We respond within the time the law requires, normally within one month. If we decline a request, we will tell you why and how you can appeal.
12. U.S. state privacy rights
If you live in California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to access, correct and delete it; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
In the past 12 months we collected the categories described in section 3: identifiers, internet or network activity, commercial information (purchase records), inferences such as approximate location from IP address, and, in Slots Palace, information from social sign-in. We collected it from you, your device and the partners described above, for the purposes in section 5, and disclosed it to the recipients in section 7.
We do not sell personal information for money. Slots Palace’s use of advertising and attribution partners may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising, or “targeted advertising”, under some state laws. You can opt out by turning off tracking or resetting your advertising ID as described in section 8, or by emailing [email protected] with “Do not sell or share” in the subject line. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 18. You may use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf.
13. Children
Our Games are for adults aged 18 and over and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it and close the account.
14. Security
We protect your data with measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted connections between the Games and our servers, hashed passwords, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password and keep it private. If we become aware of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you and the authorities where the law requires.
15. International transfers
We are based in Taiwan and work with providers in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. Your data may therefore be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires, we protect transfers with appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
16. This website
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not require you to sign in. When you visit, our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We may use cookie-free, aggregated visitor statistics. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. If you use the web form to delete a Boqu Texas Hold’em Poker account, your username and password are sent once over an encrypted connection to verify the account and are not stored by the page.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Games and the law change. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, if the changes are significant, tell you in the game or by other appropriate means before they take effect.
