Community guidelines

Good company at every table.

Our games are better when the room is pleasant. These guidelines apply to everything players share or do in our games, including names, avatars and chat, and they form part of our Terms of Service.

Effective 4 October 2026 Applies to all Boqu Games titles

Respect other players

Friendly banter is part of the game. Making someone feel unwelcome is not. Do not:

  • harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone, or encourage others to;
  • post hate speech or slurs, or attack anyone for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or any other protected characteristic;
  • post sexual, violent, graphic or shocking content;
  • spam, flood the chat, or post advertising or links;
  • encourage self-harm, or post content that glorifies violence or illegal activity;
  • impersonate Boqu Games staff, moderators or other players.

Play fair

Every player deserves an honest game. Do not:

  • collude with other players, share hole cards, soft-play friends or deliberately lose chips to another account (“chip dumping”);
  • use bots, scripts, macros, modified game clients or any tool that plays for you or gives you information the game does not;
  • run multiple accounts to gain an advantage, farm free rewards or get around a suspension;
  • exploit bugs. If you find one, tell us at [email protected].

Some tables may include automated players operated by Boqu Games. The game discloses this, and they play by the same rules as everyone else.

No real-money trading

Chips, coins and other virtual items have no cash value and are only for play inside our games. Do not buy, sell or trade virtual items or accounts for money or anything else of value, offer or accept side bets, or advertise any of these. The only place to get chips or coins is inside our games; anyone offering them elsewhere is not us.

Safety and privacy

  • Never share your password. Boqu Games staff will never ask for it.
  • Do not share personal information, yours or anyone else’s, such as real names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses or social media accounts.
  • Do not ask other players to move to another app or platform, or to send money, gift cards or payment details.
  • Be wary of anyone promising free chips, prizes or “hacks”. They are scams.

Adults only, zero tolerance

Our games are for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for any content or behaviour that sexualises, endangers or exploits children. Accounts involved are closed permanently, relevant information is preserved, and we report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable.

If you believe a child is in danger, contact your local emergency services first. To report concerns to us, write to [email protected] with “Child safety” in the subject line; these reports are handled first.

Names and avatars

Usernames, display names and avatars must follow these guidelines. Do not use names that are offensive, sexual, hateful, that contain personal information or links, or that impersonate another person, a brand or our staff. We may change or remove names that break these rules.

Muting and reporting

You are always in control of what you see. Where a game has chat, you can mute any player, and you can report a player or a message from their profile or the message itself. Reports go to our moderation team together with the context needed to review them. A report is confidential: the player you report is not told who reported them.

You can also report a problem by email to [email protected]. Please include the game, your username, the other player’s name, the time it happened and a screenshot if you can.

How we enforce

We use a combination of automated tools and human review to keep our games safe. Automated filters may hide messages that appear to break these rules. Depending on how serious and how frequent a breach is, we may:

  • remove or hide content, or reset a name;
  • issue a warning;
  • mute chat for a period of time;
  • remove virtual items gained by breaking the rules;
  • suspend or permanently close the account, and any linked accounts.

Serious breaches, such as threats of violence or anything involving the exploitation of children, lead to immediate permanent closure and, where appropriate, reporting to the authorities. We keep records of reports and of removed messages so that decisions can be reviewed.

Appeals

If you think we made a mistake, email [email protected] within 30 days with your username and the details. A person will review the decision and tell you the outcome.
